Hi Kristina! I’d like to learn how to hype myself.

Thanks, Penny

Hi Penny! 👋💞

That's the right address.

It's a series which I'll share with my subscribers plus extra insights inside my writing group (Online Writing School)

On Wednesday we also have a live session with Ayo from Medium. He also learned how to hype himself because no one will do it for us.

Thank you for breaking the network analytics down! I've been here for 11 months and had no idea what all that data meant. So thank you, this video was so helpful 💕I also ghosted my previous email list. I'm not proud of it, but that was before Substack. Since I've been on this platform, I can report no ghosting has happened 🥳 what is worse, unlike you, I never told my precious subscribers I'm moving to Substack, so I'm not sure how I can rectify this now. However, despite Gmail making it easy to unsubscribe, they still stick with me. What are your thoughts?

Hi Jana 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 ah I guess you read my post on Notes then lol.

Guilty of ghosting my list.

They'll be happy to hear from you, is my lessons learned ^^ so go for it.

To make it easy for everyone I'd send like 4 emails telling them you've moved to Substack and they can come with you.

Tell them they can unsubscribe any time.

Then add all that are left to Substack.

I bet some would be happy to pay you :) if they already know you from a few years back haha... but don't come with an offer right away...

this turns them off. I know someone from our school tried it and failed miserably.

Fingers crossed and keep me posted.

How many are on the list?

Thanks, Kristina. That’s a great recommendation. I will try the four-email method. I am not sure about paying; I’ve not turned the pay on yet. My growth seems kinda slow because I’ve changed my publication multiple times.

Fabulous series, Kristina — I’m excited to hear you’re going to do one about how to use Notes.

Hi Elizabeth,

we'll cover multiple ways to be seen more and also collaborate with other Substack writers, see our Substack as a product we can grow and brand :)

We'll also cover Notes. I jusr recording the session about guest posts and cross-posts which I also think is important.

Next up is Notes and some other ideas :)

Thanks sooooo much for your feedback, I wanted to challenge myself to share my unedited videos because it takes a lot of time to edit them. That's why I just wanted to go "live" for a few days and share some important tools, backend info and marketing ideas with you since I know so many want to hype themselves a bit more, but feel overwhelmed.

Thanks a lot!! and also thanks for being a paid member 💗💗💗💗

You’re welcome, but I wouldn’t be a paid member if I didn’t think I was getting excellent value — you always overdeliver.

I'll share the videos here and inside the school

Hi Kristina, I had a question. If you bring people from other places on the internet to subscribe to your substack newsletter, do they have to join Substack to subscribe to your newsletter?

Great question, Dave.

Here's what I know:

You can import susbcribers from other places/platforms by uploading a csv or simply copy pasting their email adresses.

You'll then see the number of new subscribers in your graph.

Often some email adresses will get skipped if they are invalid. So you should check the csv file for errors.

Once they are subscriber they get your email.

I know you could also send them a welcome email.

Also do I know that they can open my emails but I also wonder to like and leave a comment wheter they are promopted to create an´account then.

I asked Subsatck's tech support and will get back to you as soon as I know.

Great question!!

Hi Dave,

When you import subscribers, they will then have a Substack account. Free subscribers do not need to login in order to view your posts, but they will be prompted to login and set up their profiles in order to like and/or comment.

I hope this helps clear things up! Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Hugs,

Kristina

You get a link from me to our community, live sessions, replays etc... just give it a try ❤️ hugs, Kristina
