I'm working on getting my website fixed so that I can post to it again. I wasn't making any money from it and hadn't promoted my book in a long time so I deleted Elegant Themes rather than continue to pay for it. It threw everything out of whack. I can't do anything with it until I switch to a free theme. I'm going to have to get help with that or just pay for the theme again. I am thrilled that I'll be able to add my Substack there now. One of the reasons I stopped writing posts on my website is because Medium is SO much easier to work with. Is it possible to drop a Medium post into your website? Would I just add the link with a photo and say read it here? I'd love your thoughts on this Kristina. You are so smart and savvy. 😊

Hi Cat, great question. Love that you want to reanimate your website! Yes, you can migrate your Medium stories into WordPress. I'm in thr middle of doing it. I have more than 1300 stories so I have to find a way to prioritize them and select the best ones. Would take too much time because you have to made amendments in WordPress. I'll share a video where I show thre exact steps soon! You can also integrate your Gumroad shop into WordPress. My idea is that I share the whole process on YouTube. It's better than in written form. Next video will be about Substack but then again about websites. ❤️ Hope this helps! Hugs!!

Hi Iphshita, Goos question. To be honest, you're in good company. Within the last past weeks several writers reached out to me and asked me this specific question. I'll write a story about it.

My recommendation: as you know I'm in the middle of creating a website and I will show the EXACT steps how to do it without paying someone to do it for you (as many do). I think it is crucial if you want to build and grow a business. Even if you have no clue what to sell you can offer things for free as I do with my Medium Kickstarter Guide. It's free! For now, this will be all I'm selling. But in the near future I will also introduce several online courses I host with my husband. Answer this question: What's your goal with writing online? What's your intention?

Hey Ipshita, Great questions.

You can offer your free ebook on Gumroad and then embed it into your website. THere's a Gumroad embed(similar to the Substack embed hack I showed you), you can also link to your shop or simply offer your ebook also on your website so that pople stay on your website. I purchased a domain (my name.com) why? because I want to grow my brand. I would recommend using your name.

Super cool with creating online courses. Drop me an email if you need a coaching on this. I love to help people get things started. My hubby and I had a cohort last year: the Online Course Lab where we helped creators to finally create their course!

In January, I helped someone who wants to launch her course on Thinkific. My husband also had a pretty great launch for a Boot Camp for developers with Thinkific.
