I’m so psyched to introduce you to Medium’s new blue “Book Author” badge.
With this badge, Medium now verifies the identities of published authors and puts a symbol next to their names across the platform.
Not only does the blue “Book Author” badge appear under the author’s name in the sidebar, but there is a link to their verified book.

If you’re an author, you don’t have to pay for the badge.

You don’t need to be a paying Medium member (usually $5).
There is no minimum number of followers (usually 100) required.
All you need is a Medium profile with complete information.
✔️How to Apply for Medium’s Blue Book Badge
If you have published a book with an ISBN and want to verify your Medium account, visit this link for authors to learn more.
The page makes it seem pretty easy to showcase your published book, listing three simple steps:
✔️Claim your book: Apply for verification via this form, which will ask you for your published book information (ISBN, title, description, and publisher info)
✔️The review process: Medium will review and verify your information, then contact you within a few weeks
✔️Get verified: Once verified, your profile will include the official Medium author badge, and feature your book
