Kristina, I am on Substack now because of YOUR recommendation on Medium. Looking forward to growing here with you!

This is a helpful article, as always.

Have a wonderful day! 😃📝⭐️

Sharethrough rocks!!!! Though I observe one of the high scores are for longer headlines (up to 28 words).

What are your thoughts on that?

Anyway, thanks for sharing these tools

Hi Ryvee, Nice reading from you. I also observed this trend. They say it's important that your headline tells your audience what your story is all about. I guess that's the reason. However, I'm also successful with shorter headlines. Every post is a data point. I recommended to check which ones perform the best. But again... It also really depends on the topic. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for making me aware of Sharethrough! I only knew about another headline analyzer that allows a limited number of analyses each month before you have to switch to a paid plan.

I am curious if you plan to keep using Gumroad since they dramatically increased their fees. To me, it seems unreasonable that Gumroad would take $30 out of the $143 total you earned - that's more than 20%! Do you think it's worth it when there are other alternatives with more reasonable fees?

Hi Wendi,

I know from your comments on Medium that you're always looking for an alternative. I get this. I feel the same. However, if we take Gumroad for example the 10% plus further fees for PayPal etc. is okay BECAUSE $40 sales came through Gumroads discover feature. Similar to Substack they make (trending) products (post) discoverable. I think that's really awesome. I guess the rest came from Twitter and Medium and Substack.

Gumroad is definetly worth it. I will share a Gumroad video soon on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfuz9Iw2mqdDIYQxCABWAnw

Here is my story on Medium about Gumroad from last spring: https://kristinagod.medium.com/if-you-write-on-medium-you-can-also-self-publish-an-ebook-on-gumroad-530678a2e26d

I guess you mean Coschedule? It's a tool I used to recommend to my students... but I also don't like that you have to go paid. Sharethrough is a super alternative.

Hope this helps! Talk soon :D Kristina

Yes, that helps a lot! Discovery is definitely a benefit I need at this point and that’s why I was thinking about using Gumroad to offer my first digital product (still a work in progress) despite the higher fees. I look forward to your video about it.

And yes, Coschedule is the headline analyzer I knew about.

Hey Wendi, what type of digital product are you creating? I'd love to help you along the way :D How long do you think will you need to launch it? Here's why I ask: You can also pre-sell your product and see whether people are interested in the product BEFORE you create and finalise it. I'll share a story about pre-selling of an online course and earning $$$$$ in advance. The beauty is, then you KNOW people WANT your content. It's not about earning $$$$$ it's about earning some money and then feeling motivated and keep that momentum going. Hugs!

I’m creating a self-love tool kit. It will be a digital workbook. I polled my newsletter subscribers and they chose that option to be their free gift.

All subscribers (free and paid) from 2022 will get it. In 2023 and beyond, it will be free for paid subscribers and available at a very reasonable price for free subscribers and anyone else who wants it.

Oh I love that! Which tool will you use to create the toolkit?

Primarily Canva. Then there's another tool whose name I can't recall (I'm still in the early stages of creating the tool kit using Canva) that makes it possible to convert my Canva creation into editable pdfs so users can fill in the blanks, journal, etc. in their copies of it.

Tools like that can be extremely helpful, for sure! If you've got more to write about, by all means-I'm sure your readers would find them as valuable as I do.

Hi Mitchell, I guess it's important to create a lead magnet. 🧲 I also experiment with different lead magnets. My Medium Kickstarter Guide rocks so I think this is my main lead magnet. However, it's totally fine to have several lead magnets (depending on the target group). One of my next videos will be about Gumroad.

You don't want to know what we've been through within the last past weeks. Lives, ear infection... It's horrible. 😂
